This Mid-Autumn Festival, Seprays once again continued its nearly decade-long tradition by hosting a unique and engaging mooncake-making workshop. Unlike traditional mooncakes, this year we offered a refreshing and visually stunning version made with a translucent, jelly-like skin, adding a perfect blend of modern and traditional elements to our Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.
Glazed Rice Flour Mooncakes – A Fusion of Tradition and Innovation
In the afternoon, the company’s recreational activity area, which had been temporarily transformed into a “mooncake workshop,” was already bustling with activity. Ingredients such as glutinous rice flour, sticky rice flour, and wheat starch were neatly arranged, and colleagues were eager to get started and show off their baking skills.
“I’ve never made ice-skin mooncakes before, but I find it so fun!” Xiao Xu from the marketing department said excitedly, carefully wrapping the red bean paste filling.
Engineer Li from the technical department, true to his meticulous nature, carried out each step with utmost precision—weighing ingredients, mixing, and steaming. He explained, “The dough for ice-skin mooncakes requires mixing glutinous rice flour, rice flour, and wheat starch with milk, sugar, and vegetable oil, then steaming it. Only after cooling does it become the characteristic ice-skin texture. This mirrors our project development—where we execute every step flawlessly!“
The most exciting part was undoubtedly the molding process. We used various mooncake molds with different patterns, featuring classic floral designs as well as the traditional “Seprays” brand logo. When the first, perfectly shaped, translucent mooncake emerged from the mold, the crowd erupted in cheers.

The afternoon’s welfare distribution event truly brought the festive atmosphere to its peak. Seprays prepared two boxes of seasonal fruits—pomelos and kiwis—for each family member.
Pomelo symbolizes “protection and well-being for family,” wishing that every employee’s family members remain healthy and safe; while kiwi fruit symbolizes reunion and happiness, which perfectly embodies the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
“The company is so thoughtful! They knew my child loves kiwis, so they sent us an entire box!” said Ms. Wang from the administrative department happily.
This seemingly simple gift actually conveys the company’s heartfelt care and blessings for its employees: “The pomelo and kiwi fruit symbolize the company’s wishes for the well-being and happiness of each employee and their families.”
